Live Screenings and Readings

A Festival in The First Person

This festival showcases MONOLOGUE FILMS, SCRIPTS and FILM MUSIC.

Stories can be set in the past, in the future, in the now, documentary or drama, sci fi, comedy, action, romance. It’s your call.

They can feature any theme or topic, but:

  • Films and scripts need to be short.
  • They need to be a monologue: speaking in the FIRST PERSON.
  • Films are five minutes and under.
  • Scripts are 800 spoken words.
  • Films and scripts must include a female or non-binary or self-identifying female protagonist.
  • At least THREE women must fill the ‘above the line’ role of either director, producer, composer or screenwriter.
  • Music scores must be original work. They can be produced using any instrumentation.
  • Enter your work via FilmFreeway.
  • Live Screenings of Officially Selected Films.
  • Live readings of Officially Selected Scripts.

Our festival is not just about awards; it’s about recognition, networking, and forging lifelong connections with like-minded artists. It’s about the joy of seeing your work resonate with audiences, sparking conversations, and leaving a lasting impact on society.

If you need assistance in preparing your script, would like an online workshop or group session, or have any questions, we are here to help.
