“Our mission is to amplify and empower independent and aspiring diverse voices from female creatives across the globe.”

The 2025 Voices of Women International Short Film and Script Festival was an outstanding success! After a year of exploration and discovery across the globe, we are beyond thrilled to present a groundbreaking celebration of women’s voices in the world of cinema and script writing.

Voices of Women began in 2018, founded on a celebration of diversity, tolerance, understanding and international connection. This Festival continues that vision, focussing on recognition, connection with like-minded artists and conversations.

The films and scripts were presented in live screenings and readings around the world over three days across International Womens Day 2025.

SYDNEY: Hosted by KXT on Broadway, home of BAKEhouse Theatre Company, as part of their enduring support for emerging women artists and support for International Womens Day.

KENYA: Hosted by The Theatre Company of Kenya with Director and conservation specialist at The Elephant Queen Catherine Enane at Karichota Artists Retreat. A Voices of Women storymaking workshop will also by facilitated by Catherine at Karichota.

NEW YORK: Hosted by Brooklyn College, Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, in Brooklyn. committed to educating a diverse student body in the art and craft of filmmaking, music making, and storytelling in a hands-on, collaborative environment that mirrors the professional world.

With works from award-winning and emerging filmmakers, writers and performers, each film and script has been crafted by women who hold pivotal creative roles in shaping narratives, breaking boundaries and daring to tell stories that matter. We were excited to showcase remarkable films and scripts from across the globe—representing the USA, Australia, Iran, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Brazil, and Hungary and more.

The films speak to the female experience and to the experience of humanity as a whole in powerful, poetic, comedic and moving stories. In a world where connection and understanding are more vital than ever, we are proud to lead the way, with creativity as our guiding light.
